Dear Worcester County Stripers Forever Members,

Thursday, June 25th at 8:00AM at the Parkway Diner on Shrewsbury Street in Worcester there will be an important legislative breakfast regarding the bill to make striped bass a gamefish (HB796). The state senators and representatives from all of Worcester County have been invited. Representative Vincent Pedone from Worcester has offered to host this event. This is a great opportunity for area striped bass fishermen such as yourselves to attend and show your support for the bill. There will be brief presentations by Stripers Forever (SF) Committee members and questions from the legislators. This is the third of these events we have held statewide. The first was very successful in developing a dialogue with state legislators. It will be important to have a strong showing of SF members.

Also, please contact your legislator directly and encourage them to attend this meeting. I can provide contact info if needed. It also is readily available at this website "http://www.mass.gov/legis/" .

2 reasons I'll be there.
1. To support Game fish status.
2. The Parkway has one hell of a pepperoni and cheese omelate.
I used to eat there all the time when I was involved with building the college of pharmacy.

The Parkway is directly across the street from my building.

I may have a work conflict which is pissing me off. This is the one meeting I definitely should and need to be at. I am trying to get things lined up so I can attend.

Anyone that can be there should attend. These meetings are only an hour and extremely informative. It is an excellent way for people to show how important this legislation is to people from all walks of life. I am hoping for a good turn out.

The tail was looking to kill me wednesday night, so when the 3rd close call came, I left early. When I got home, I started a pot of coffee and sat in my recliner. Falling asleep would not be a big deal, as my wife was getting up for work, and the alarm should have woke me up. It didn't. Neither did my wife.
