How do I join? An introduction...

Are you interested in becoming a member of Stripercoast Surfcasters Club! Shoot me an email and tell me a little about yourself Also, if you haven't had a chance to read through the "About Us" page on our website, in its entirety, please take a moment to do so. It is very important to the club to ensure that all new members are on board with what we're about and what we stand for as outlined therein. Also, please understand that Stripercoast Surfcasters Club is geared primarily toward the more experienced and hardcore striped bass surfcaster, and is not really a place for those just starting out.

We're a relatively new club, founded in 2008, and are in the process of building state chapters all along the eastern seaboard. We have a long way to go toward that goal, but strongly believe that a unified front is a strong front when it comes to fighting for our rights as stewards of the resource and making our voices heard on issues that affect us all. Our current membership includes hardcore surfcasters from Florida to New Hampshire and is steadily growing as the name becomes more well known in the surfcasting community.

Being a member of Stripercoast Surfcasters Club is not meant to take the place of your local club (we encourage members to remain active in their local clubs), but instead to broaden your horizons beyond your local scene. Many of our members travel extensively along the coast, following the migrations, and in many of the best locations along the coast you'll find like-minded members willing to be your 'guide' in unfamiliar waters.

Our message forum is unlike any you've seen. It is essentially our clubhouse and, as most parts of it are not viewable by the general public, members can be free to speak openly and frankly about what is happening and where we're fishing. Posts like, "I'll be fishing in Rhode Island tonight at 10:30pm if anyone wants to join me." are not uncommon. There is also a live chat module for small talk and discussion.

We're not in this to make money, all staff are uncompensated volunteers. Any monies collected by the club above and beyond our operating expenses (through membership dues, raffles, auctions, etc.), are given back to the membership in many cool ways, such as the monthly photo contest prizes,  tournaments & cookouts, Lamiglas rods, etc. Many club members are also expert custom plug makers and rod builders and offer their creations to other club members at prices you won't find in any tackle shop.

Membership dues are $50.00 for your first year, and $25.00 annually thereafter. Dues payment is part of the registration process for the club's message forum (via PayPal or CC) and is required before complete access to the private forum is granted.

If all this sounds like something you'd love to be involved with, and you're 100% on board with what is written on the "About Us" page on our website, contact me via email and tell me about yourself.

Thank you for your interest, and I look forward to fishing with you in the future!
